Square Nokovitch

Square Nokovitch occupies a plot of land once owned by the family of a local jeweler, who donated the grounds to the city of Courbevoie in the early twentieth century. It remains distinct for its dense canopy of mature trees, which create a pocket of shade in an otherwise busy district. The park takes its name from André Nokovitch, a French resistance fighter captured and executed during the Second World War. A plaque marks his sacrifice near the entrance gates.
