The Parc Omnisports Suzanne Lenglen features a sprawling grid of green athletic fields and tennis courts bounded by a distinct, low-slung concrete perimeter wall. It occupies a space once defined by the old Citroen factories and the industrial weight of the fifteenth arrondissement. The city converted these former manufacturing grounds into a dedicated sports facility in the nineteen seventies. It honors Suzanne Lenglen, the tennis star who famously wore short skirts and white headbands while winning six Wimbledon titles during the nineteen twenties.
