The green tile facade of Metzgerei Schäbitz stands out on the corner of Dreifaltigkeitsplatz with its gold lettering and curved glass displays. While much of Munich modernized, this shop kept its focus on the craft of the master butcher. In the nineteen seventies, the shop gained a reputation for its Weisswurst, often selling out before midday. Workers and locals gathered here for years to wait in line for the morning batch, keeping the tradition of the fresh Munich sausage alive in the center.
