Weisses Bräuhaus im Tal

The Weisses Bräuhaus at the corner of Tal and Sparkassenstraße wears a painted facade of soft yellow, topped by an ornate, steep-pitched roof that dates back to the reconstruction following the Second World War. Duke Maximilian the First granted the brewing rights here in sixteen hundred and seven, specifically for wheat beer. At the time, the ruling Wittelsbach family held a monopoly on wheat beer production. They used this house to maintain their lucrative hold on the city's thirst for that particular brew.
