Artus Court

The Artus Court stands out on the Long Market with its tall, ornate facade and the distinctively carved portal topped by gold-leaf figures. Named for the legendary King Arthur and his knights, the building served as a meeting place for local merchants and patricians starting in the fourteenth century. Inside, the grand hall holds the largest tiled stove in Europe, built by Georg Stelzener in the mid-sixteenth century. It rises over ten meters, covered in hundreds of relief tiles depicting European monarchs and heroes.
