The Kamienica Czirenbergów features a richly decorated facade covered in stone carvings of masks, animals, and flowers that wrap around the building. Built in the early seventeenth century for a wealthy merchant, this structure displays the architectural ambition of Gdańsk during its golden age. In nineteen forty-five, the original building suffered near-total destruction during the fighting. Workers painstakingly reconstructed the entire exterior, matching the original patterns, while the interior serves as the home for a local school today.
