Teatro Campos Elíseos Antzokia

The facade of the Teatro Campos Elíseos features a distinct, intricate stone carving styled in the French Art Nouveau tradition, setting it apart from the surrounding neighborhood. Known locally as the Chocolate Box, it opened in nineteen oh two to host theater and variety shows. Architect Alfredo Acebal filled the exterior with ceramic tiles and ornate ironwork to evoke the glamour of Paris. During the Spanish Civil War, the building suffered significant damage, eventually leading to a complete, meticulous restoration that finished in twenty ten.
