The Bizkaiko Foru Aldundiaren jauregia features a grand facade of heavy stone blocks, capped with a prominent clock tower that watches over the plaza. This palace serves as the seat of the Provincial Council of Biscay. Luis Aladrén and Adolfo Morales de los Rios finished the structure in nineteen hundred, designing it to reflect the deep-rooted legislative autonomy of the region. King Alfonso the thirteenth visited shortly after completion, officially consecrating this building as the heart of local Basque political power.
