The Espacio Marzana building sits right on the edge of the Nervion River, marked by a distinct, rugged facade that contrasts with the sleeker structures nearby. Once serving as a utilitarian warehouse space, it transitioned into an art gallery in two thousand eight. Javier Marzana opened this venue to bring contemporary art into a neighborhood that felt disconnected from the city's main museum circuit. He installed large glass windows that pull the river light directly into the gallery floor.
