Mural "Futurismo Primitivo" de Sixe Paredes

The mural displays bright, interlocking geometric shapes and totem-like figures that stretch across the entire side of a five-story residential building. Sixe Paredes painted it in twenty-one eleven for a city initiative to revitalize the old district. He drew inspiration from ancient Andean pottery and traditional mask patterns he studied during travels in Peru. The residents initially expressed confusion about the abstract faces looming over their street, but the vivid colors eventually became a permanent, recognizable landmark for the entire neighborhood.
