Okela is a small, independent exhibition space defined by a single glass storefront that keeps the art visible from the sidewalk at any hour. Founded in twenty fourteen by a collective of local artists, the space operates as a self-managed platform for contemporary creators who struggle to find room in traditional galleries. A few years ago, the team faced a sudden eviction notice, but they negotiated a new lease to keep the project alive in its original corner of the Indautxu neighborhood.
