The Haus der Musik in Innsbruck features a glass facade that reflects the jagged silhouette of the Nordkette mountains. This building serves as a permanent home for the Tyrolean State Conservatory and the Mozarteum University. Before this structure appeared in two thousand eighteen, the site was part of a cramped urban complex. Architect Erich Strolz designed the current space to amplify sound, including a dedicated chamber for acoustic experiments where the walls shift to change the reverberation time for every performance.
