The Spitalskirche zum Heiligen Geist stands out for the distinct, deep ocher color of its facade, which separates the modest church from the neighboring gray stone buildings. Originally built in the early fourteenth century to serve the patients of the adjacent hospital, it provided spiritual comfort to the sick and dying. In seventeen hundred and one, court architect Johann Martin Gumpp designed the current baroque structure.
