Kath. Pfarrkirche St. Nikolaus

The Katholische Pfarrkirche St. Nikolaus sits across the Inn River from the old city center, marked by a slender, pointed spire that rises sharply above the neighborhood rooftops. It serves as the local parish church, built in the early twentieth century to accommodate the growing population on the northern bank. Inside, the walls hold an elaborate cycle of Art Nouveau frescoes painted by Toni Kirchmayr, which depict the life of Saint Nicholas in bright, flat colors that contrast with the traditional, neo-Gothic stone arches.
