Restaurant Goldener Adler Innsbruck

The Goldener Adler features a facade of pastel stucco and heavy wooden shutters that stands out among the medieval arcades of Innsbruck. Since fourteen fifty, this building has functioned as an inn for travelers crossing the Alps. Empress Maria Theresa stayed here, and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once checked into a room on the second floor. Today, guests dine in low-ceilinged rooms where the walls hold centuries of names and history. It remains one of the oldest operational hotels in the Tyrol region.
