The Sowi Library features a facade covered in thousands of glass panels printed with excerpts from legal texts. It functions as the central library for social and economic sciences at the University of Innsbruck. Dominique Perrault designed the structure to blur the lines between the interior study spaces and the surrounding public plaza. In two thousand five, the architect faced intense criticism when the building's massive glass roof leaked during a heavy rainstorm, forcing a complete and costly sealing of the entire system.
