The Stastny brush workshop on Maria-Theresien-Strasse wears a narrow, unassuming storefront that has held its ground since nineteen thirty-two. The shop is filled with handmade brushes, from delicate badger-hair shaving tools to heavy-duty floor scrubbers. When Anton Stastny opened these doors, he committed to a craft that was already vanishing in the face of mass production. Today, his grandson still works in the back, using the same wooden frames and techniques that have defined the family business for nearly a century.
