Auditorium Niedermeyer

The Auditorium Niedermeyer features a jagged, reflective glass facade that cuts a sharp silhouette against the sky. Named after the nineteenth century composer Louis Niedermeyer, this hall sits at the heart of the Palais des Congres. It functions as a dedicated space for classical music and performance in Issy-les-Moulineaux. When the building opened in the nineties, engineers installed acoustic panels that adjust automatically to the size of the audience, aiming to keep the sound balanced even if the room is half empty.
