Weinstube Kachelofen

The Weinstube Kachelofen sits beneath a distinctive, steep gable roof, distinguished by the traditional, massive ceramic tile stove that gives the establishment its name. Tucked into the oldest remaining building near the Stuttgart Rathaus, the interior keeps the history of the seventeen hundreds alive through its heavy timber framing and original wood paneling. It survived the widespread bombing of the second world war, remaining a rare, authentic anchor in a city center rebuilt almost entirely from scratch during the following decades.
