The Weinstube Fröhlich sits inside a half-timbered building with a narrow, crooked facade that leans slightly toward the street. It occupies a space that survived the intense bombing of Stuttgart during the second world war, leaving it as one of the few authentic historical interiors left in the city center. Friedrich Fröhlich opened the wine tavern in eighteen ninety-four, and the small, wood-paneled rooms still hold the original dark benches and tiled stove that greeted customers over a century ago.
