The Der Pschorr building features a high, vaulted ceiling and large glass windows that overlook the Viktualienmarkt. This beer hall traces its name to the Pschorr family, who rose to prominence in the eighteenth century by marrying into the local brewing elite. Joseph Pschorr eventually expanded the family business into a massive industrial operation. The current hall focuses on serving beer from wooden barrels, mimicking the traditional method used when the brewery operated just down the street from this spot.
