Sebastianspl. 8

other

The three-story building at Sebastiansplatz eight wears a plain, light-colored facade, yet the sharp, wedge-like angle where the structure meets the corner creates an immediate, unintended landmark. Back in the seventeen hundreds, this spot held a brewery known for serving travelers arriving through the city gates. When the original house was rebuilt in the nineteenth century, the owners kept the floor plan tight to the street, forcing pedestrians to hug the wall to pass, just as they do today.
