Heine Haus in Düsseldorf

other

The Heine Haus stands out with its sober, elegant pale yellow facade and the sharp, black iron balcony railing that frames the second floor. This building holds the birthplace of the poet Heinrich Heine, who was born here in seventeen ninety-seven when his family operated a dry goods shop on the ground level. While the original interior vanished long ago, the current space functions as a dedicated bookstore and literary center, keeping the city’s connection to its most famous, exiled writer alive.
