Kö-Center

other

The Kö-Center on Königsallee stands out for its curved, glass-paneled facade that creates a sharp contrast with the traditional buildings along the canal. Built in the late nineteen sixties, this shopping complex replaced the old Hotel Breidenbacher Hof after it was demolished following war damage. During its construction, architects aimed to modernize the city center with a multi-level commercial space. It eventually became the first shopping arcade in Düsseldorf to integrate retail stores, offices, and residential apartments under one single roof.
