The Holy Trinity Statue rises from the center of Trinity Square as a limestone pillar topped by a gilded sculpture of the Trinity. Erected in seventeen thirteen, the monument marks the end of a devastating plague that gripped the city. Citizens commissioned the column as a votive offering, pleading for divine protection against future outbreaks. Its ornate baroque base features smaller angels and saints, created by Fülöp Ungleich, who carved figures that still watch over the square today.
