Walkó House

The Walko House features an ornate, pale yellow facade adorned with intricate stone carvings of mythical creatures and floral motifs. Designed by architect Ede Magyar in nineteen oh nine, it stands as a prime example of Hungarian Secessionist architecture. While the building served as a grand private residence for the wealthy banking family, its most famous occupant was the writer Gyula Juhasz, who lived within these walls during the early twentieth century. He frequently hosted local poets and intellectuals in the spacious second-floor study.
