The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Tangier wears a coat of white paint and sharp, modernist lines that contrast with the stone walls of the surrounding medina. Built in nineteen sixty, the structure replaced an earlier chapel to serve the growing international population of the city during the period of the Tangier International Zone. Its architect, Luis Martinez-Feduchi, chose a design that prioritized geometric simplicity and an airy, open interior, creating a space that feels detached from the dense, winding streets outside.
