The Lorin Foundation Museum occupies an old converted synagogue with a stark, whitewashed exterior that contrasts sharply with the narrow, winding alleys of the Tangier Medina. Inside, the space holds an expansive private collection of vintage posters, photographs, and historical documents detailing life in Tangier from eighteen-sixty to nineteen-sixty. Pierre Bergé, the late fashion partner of Yves Saint Laurent, gathered these artifacts over decades to preserve the city’s identity. Visitors find original theater programs and black-and-white cityscapes covering nearly every inch of the walls.
