Horseshoe Bar Glasgow

food drink

The Horseshoe Bar is defined by a continuous, oval-shaped mahogany bar counter that dominates the ground floor. It stretches around the room, claiming the title of the longest bar in Europe at one hundred and four feet. James Gardner installed this fixture in nineteen oh five to accommodate the crowds of shipyard workers who frequented the area. The ornate ceiling plasterwork and the dark wood panels remain from that era, maintaining the atmosphere of a classic Victorian gin palace.
