Strathclyde University Mural

The Saint Mungo mural stretches across the side of the High Street gable, depicting the city’s patron saint in two distinct ways. One side shows the traditional bearded figure in full religious robes. The other side presents him as a young boy with a robin perched on his finger. Created by the street artist Smug in two thousand sixteen, this towering image honors the legend of the saint who brought Glasgow into existence, using a contemporary style to bridge centuries of local folklore.
