The Guenther House features a steeply pitched roof and elaborate gingerbread trim that sets it apart from the surrounding neighborhood. Built in nineteen oh one by Erhard Guenther, the house served as the private residence for the family behind the Pioneer Flour Mills. Erhard lived here until his death, eventually leaving behind a structure that survived the decline of the milling industry to become a restaurant and museum. The kitchen still contains the original pressed-tin ceiling and hardwood floors from the turn of the century.
