The Warhol Lofts building wears a distinctive, jagged sawtooth roofline that distinguishes it from the flatter, boxy silhouettes of its neighbors. This structure began as a cold storage facility for the Utah Ice and Cold Storage Company in the early twentieth century. Insulated, windowless rooms once held massive blocks of ice intended to preserve the region’s food supply. Today, that industrial shell houses residential lofts, holding onto the heavy brick walls and the open floor plans that once facilitated frozen storage.
