Beehive House

The Beehive House features a distinct, sculpted beehive perched atop its roof, visible from the street. Brigham Young commissioned this structure in eighteen fifty-four to serve as both his private residence and the official office of the Church president. Young lived here with his plural wives and numerous children. He managed the expansion of the territory from a small study inside, often hosting territorial governors and travelers while his family occupied the remaining rooms. The hive remains a constant reminder of his industry.
