Regent Street

Regent Street is a narrow, pedestrian-friendly corridor tucked between Main Street and State Street in downtown Salt Lake City. It is paved with distinctive gray brick and lined with historic brick buildings that now house small restaurants and bars. In the nineteen-teens, this strip was known as Plum Alley. It was the heart of the city's small Chinese community, filled with laundries, herb shops, and restaurants until the city cleared the area to make way for larger, formal commercial developments.
