Kurja Cafe & Restaurant

Kurja Cafe and Restaurant features a distinctive, elevated wooden balcony that juts out over the street, built to catch the breeze from the nearby lake. It occupies a multi-story traditional haveli, once a private home, now refitted to house travelers and diners. The walls inside retain the heavy, stone masonry construction meant to insulate against the Rajasthan heat. Years ago, the owner converted the upper floor into a viewing deck where guests could watch the bustling neighborhood below while keeping their tea hot.
