Bagore Ki Haveli

The massive stone gateway of Bagore Ki Haveli stands right at the water’s edge of Lake Pichola, topped by a prominent, weathered balcony that overlooks the Gangaur Ghat. This mansion served as the home for Amarchand Badwa, the prime minister of the Mewar Kingdom during the eighteenth century. After he fell out of favor with the royal family, the building became a royal guesthouse, eventually housing members of the king’s extended family, including various queens and their servants, until it fell into deep decay.
