Jagdish Shree Restaurant - Namkeen

The brass scales hanging behind the counter at Jagdish Shree hold more weight than the snacks they measure. While the shop serves tourists and locals with bags of spiced namkeen, the original owner started by roasting chickpeas in a small iron pan on the sidewalk. He spent his days watching the crowds flow toward the nearby temple, adjusting his fire until he perfected the crunch of his chana. Those early batches funded the permanent shop front that stands here today, still using his recipes.
