Rang Niwas Misthan features a high, arched entryway painted in distinct, weathered ochre tones that contrast with the narrower stone alleyways of Udaipur. Originally built in the nineteenth century as a private residence for the royal family, the haveli served as a place to entertain guests during evening festivals. Maharana Sajjan Singh later repurposed the space to house the city's first guest house for high-ranking travelers. The stone carvings around the windows still bear the marks of those original masons.
