Long before travelers arrived for a quiet stay, this building served as a local hub for writers and musicians. In the nineteen fifties, it hosted William S. Burroughs, who finished writing the manuscript for Naked Lunch while sitting in one of these rooms, fueled by a chaotic, rotating cast of expatriate friends.
