The Oberer Schloßgarten stretches as a long, green corridor through the heart of Stuttgart, defined by its mature chestnut trees and a central lake that mirrors the surrounding city skyline. King Wilhelm the First commissioned this park in eighteen oh seven to transform the former royal hunting grounds into a public garden. During the nineteenth century, it served as a formal promenade for the nobility, until the construction of the nearby railway lines physically carved the landscape into the quiet, elongated park seen today.
