Wiener Platz

Wiener Platz features a central fountain topped by a bronze statue of a girl holding a water jug. This square serves as the heart of the Haidhausen district, defined by its small, pastel-colored houses that survived the city's twentieth-century expansion. Market stalls sit beneath white umbrellas, selling produce and flowers just as they have for over a century. In nineteen forty-four, a single bomb blast struck the square, shattering the fountain and damaging the surrounding buildings beyond immediate repair.
