The building at the corner of Plaza Weyler features a striking rounded facade topped by a distinct, ornate glass cupola. This structure housed the former Almacenes el Águila, which opened in nineteen oh eight as the most modern department store in Mallorca. The architect, Gaspar Bennazar, designed it to showcase a mix of Art Nouveau and modernist details, including the iconic eagle sculpture that gave the store its name. It served as a commercial hub for decades before changing ownership and commercial use.
