Can Corbella stands out on the Plaza del Mercado with its bright green facade and jagged, asymmetrical roofline that seems borrowed from a fairy tale. Built in the early twentieth century by architect Lluis Forteza Rey, the structure wears its Modernisme influences in every carved stone floral motif and sweeping iron balcony. It once housed the family of a prominent local jeweler who displayed his craft in the ground floor windows, turning the building into a permanent, oversized showcase for his intricate metalwork.
