Can Forteza Rey stands out on the Carrer de Sant Miquel because of the colorful, broken ceramic tiles that cover its entire facade. Lluis Forteza Rey, a local jeweler, designed this building in nineteen oh nine after traveling to Barcelona and admiring the work of Antoni Gaudi. He covered the exterior in broken plates and pottery shards, creating a shimmering mosaic that reflects the Mediterranean light. The building remains a private residence and a showcase for the jeweler’s fascination with modernista design.
